Today I re-watched acts fourteen and fifteen of the Sailor Moon live action; there are two or three months since I’ve re-seen the previous ones. I use to do it a lot when I’m feeling down or when something sad is going on in my life. For some reason to watch/read shoujo anime/mangá always makes me feel better, no matter how dramatic the story is. That’s probably because it’s closer to our reality than the shounen ones, or at least it is closer to mine. Although I’m not so young anymore, I’m trying not to be an adult without dreams and without a life full of colors. So, whenever I feel stressed and have a free time, I take a good book, read a girlish mangá or watch a Japanese TV series. And the good thing about Sailor Moon is that when I watch it I finally remember that I’m still a girl and that it is a good thing to praise my women attributes after all.

It makes me go out for shopping – something I barely do – and I always end up buying pink and cute things without even thinking that I’ll probably never wear it. Today was one of these days; I didn’t go out to buy clothes but I finally went to my dermatologist after… Two years? I have to take better care of myself, really. Be a workaholic is ok since I don’t give up my private life because of that. I’m reaching the middle of my twenties and I’ve just realized that during all this years I have been ashamed of being a girl. Well, this is not going to happen anymore; together with my dermatologist I’ve scheduled a time in many other doctors, including ophthalmologist because I’ll finally wear color contact lenses just to have fun. I doubt someday I’ll feel comfortable wearing cheerful colors like baby pink, light blue or purple, but I can try to change old habits by creating new and healthy ones. Hope everything will be fine at the end. Minna-san, ganbatte ne!
