I’m a great Sailor Moon fan. I’ve watched the TV series for the first time back in 1997 when it was broadcasted by a Brazilian channel called Manchete. It was love at first sight; although a girl, until then I was only fond of boyish cartoons and the sweetness of these pretty soldiers’ story caught my heart. I was only 14 years old but I started to collect some goods I found at shops and I still have them as my jewels:
These are my Sailor Moon doll, my Magic Pen and Mako-chan Kitchen, all by Bandai
So, of course, this is one of my favorite anime/manga. I love Takeuchi-sama’s drawings and the way she makes all those girls look amazingly pretty. You can feel proud of being a woman especially when you read the comic; the hair floating in the air, the beautiful clothes, those thin and tall body, the way they always look fragile and longing to be protected… It’s like living in a dream world where even the evil can be good-looking at the end. That’s why I decided to import the Japanese original version of the manga (I’m studying Japanese, so I really hope to read it all by myself as soon as possible). Now I have the latest release with all the new arts and stickers. It’s so pretty! ♥
Here you can see all my manga collection, including Codename wa Sailor V and the short stories.
My favorite Sailor senshi, even now, is Kino Makoto because somehow she is as boyish as me: I was always the tallest of my class (and so the latest of the line) and I used to fall in love easily *laughs*. Although very strong comparing to the others she was also feminine and her love for cuisine just inspires me. (I’m currently preparing for a Japanese traditional cuisine course!) I think the Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon S (Infinity) phases are the best; the first one because I just love those villains and the second one because Haruka & Michiru are my beloved couple from all the series.
I’ve accompanied the Live Action version since the first episode. I was so incredible happy when I heard of it! It was like my childhood dreams were back in real (and cute!) life. Pity it’s over...
Can’t choose my favorite here; they’re all so charming!
